Reims Christmas Market Extravaganza

So the French Christmas market gates are open. Yup, the red tape has been removed and it is officially Christmas season in the land of Champagne. The best part is that the extravaganza is even open on Sundays. Woohoo finally something to do on a Sunday in France, or even better yet, something to do on a Sunday night in France! Check out the pics below.

I was pretty impressed with the 125 little petite chalets this year. A good selection of spiced wine, cheeses, charcuterie, gaufres with nutella, crepes and regional products. I especially loved sauisson a l'ail, jambon sec, fresh huge blocks of Saint Nectaire cheese (a french cheese made in Auvergne since the 17th century which is pressed, uncooked cows milk cheese with a grey/brown rind, semi hard pate with a silky texture and soft acidity along with hints of hazelnuts and mushrooms), pain d'epice which is perfect for foie gras, pate en croute ardennais, vin chaud, terrine campagne, andoulette, raclette sanwiches on fresh baguette, Jambon sans Os (entier, demi, etc), croustillions hollandias. If your in France the next month make sure to not miss a Christmas market.
